Freedom Acres Veteran Program
The Freedom Acres Veteran Program is a Black veterans assistance initiative created by the Elmer Geronimo Pratt Gun Club (EGPGC) and CW and Nicole Mallery- owners of Freedom Acres Ranch- Yoder, Colorado located outside of Colorado Springs. All Black veterans are welcome to apply, including those who may be experiencing homelessness. Approved veterans will be able to relocate to the Mallery Ranch for a long term living arrangement (months to years), doing daily ranch-hand work (care of animals/structural maintenance) as well as providing security for the Mallery Ranch. Veterans will have access to a fresh start- to include free lodging and food in exchange for their work with the GUARANTEE of land ownership after 24 months of service at Freedom Acres Ranch.

Apply Online.
Submitting a completed Intake Application starts the process. Once the form is submitted, expect to receive a follow up email and/or phone call within 10 business days from the EGPGC to begin the interview phase.

Inteview.
The interview phase will include meetings with the EGPGC as well as with the Mallery’s as your application progresses. If the Mallery’s decide you are a good fit for the Program, an offer will be made to you to relocate. Should you accept the offer, be prepared to Make a Fresh Start at Freedom Acres Ranch in beautiful Colorado!

Relocate and Build!
You are responsible for making any personal arrangements on your end before departing, including VA enrollment as necessary. Bus Transportation to Colorado can be provided if needed. Once you arrive, you will work alongside the Mallery’s building, maintaining and securing the Ranch. You will then be on your way to 2 acres of land ownership at Freedom Acres!
